BOXING

 

 

Boxing is considered the most Spartan of forms of sports training. This is done in groups, one on one. And for more advanced clients, Sparring is “practice fighting” with the aim of training skills and fitness, not to determine a winner. Sparring should always involve use of a gumshield, head-guard and groin-guard. Sparring gloves are often more padded than gloves used in actual bouts. Sparring partners sometimes agree to practice particular types of punches or defense moves to focus their training. Here at Set Fitness, we promote non-contact training and conditioning for the health and safety of our members. For those who prefer contact training as part of their boxing regime, amateur and professional experience must first be attained.
